Dr. Arcella J. Trimble is a licensed psychologist specializing in individual, couples and family therapy, and psychological testing. Dr. Trimble received her B.A. in Psychology from Spelman College. She received her M.S. degree in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University. She obtained her Ph.D. in Psychology with an emphasis in School Psychology from The University of Southern Mississippi.
With over 20 years experience, she is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients.Dr. Trimble has worked with clients in inpatient and outpatient hospitals and clinics, university counseling centers, and shelters. Dr. Trimble has worked as a school psychologist in elementary, middle, secondary, and nontraditional schools in Mississippi, Maryland, and Georgia. During her tenure at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine/Kennedy Krieger Institute, Dr. Trimble provided parent training and family therapy. She specializes in individual and group therapy and psychological testing with adolescents and adults. She also provides executive and life coaching services.
In addition to her work as a psychologist, Dr. Trimble is an assistant professor at Life University. She has taught and presented at National conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of behavior management techniques in the home and school settings, parent training, psychological assessment, effective therapeutic strategies for counselors, and women issues. Additionally, Dr. Trimble sponsors women retreats and provides research development and data analysis services for businesses and doctoral candidates.
